To establish initial training requirements for anyone using the Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System (ISICS) or any type of radio equipment that allows for ISICS interoperable communications, the Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System Board (ISICSB) created Standard 2.11.0-Training ISICS End Users.  That standard recommends that each new employee complete Radio Basics in their initial training.  This training is not required by ISICSB but is highly encouraged.  This training may be a duplicate of a course already provided by your agency.  ISICSB recommends that your agency build Radio Basics into new employee training programs.
